Home Decor & Upcycling

Home Decor on a budget :)

So….. After having the dining room decorated earlier in the year I decided to make some co-ordinating home decor items. Let me explain what each item is and how it was made on a budget 🙂

Canvas Picture

This picture was made using the leftover wallpaper that was used to decorate our feature wall in the dining room. I upcycled an old canvas that no longer matched the decor in our house.

Framed Fabric Remnant

Here I used a budget boxed picture frame (ÂŁ1.99 from Home Bargains) and inserted a fabric remnant that co-ordinated with the wallpaper.

Upcycled Cushion

An old fur heart cushion was given a new lease of life and looks great on my dog’s sofa (yes she has her own leather chair!). The fabric was purchased from Dunelm Mill and cost ÂŁ3.99.

Fabric Covered Canvas

I managed to make one last co-ordinating piece by covering a smaller canvas with the remaining fabric. Cost of canvas was ÂŁ1 from Pound World.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have found some inspiration.
