Learn how to make these two beautiful birthday cards using Seaside Notions by Stampin’ Up!

Hi and welcome to today’s blog tutorial which is a little bonus blog for today – yay it’s Friday!!! Both of these cards are seaside themed birthday cards which can be changed to whatever colour scheme you prefer.

I make two gorgeous cards in this video using my latest stamp set called Seaside Notions and I’m so in love with this – how adorable is it? Yep, very very beautiful.

Card One with a Basic Black background for my fussy cut elements

I wanted a couple of bright, fun and fabulous cards so chose some nice colour combos, namely basic black, whisper white and one of our gorgeous pinks – Flirty Flamingo.

Card Two with a Pink background for my fussy cut elements

I hope you like today’s projects – the stamp set and elements used can be used in so many more creative ways – you just need to play around.

Instructions and Measurements:

Card Base and Layers
Card bases are Flirty flamingo
Base is 4 1/8″ x 5 7/8″
Basic Black Matt Layers are 4″ x 5 3/4″
Stamping layer is 3 7/8″ x 5 3/8″
Small Background layers are 2″ x 4″

Stamping & Blending
I stamped my sentiments in Tuxedo Black and coloured with both Stampin’ Up! Blends Combo packs in shades Flirty Flamingo and Balmy Blue.

Decoration
I added a matt background layer to each card and fussy cut and adhered my half-doily, my white flax ribbon and my fussy cut images.

I finished off by stamping a sentiment in the top half of the card and adding some Happiness Blooms enamel dots and some basic adhesive backed sequins.
