Simple Stamping #29 Handmade Birthday Card

How to make a handmade birthday card for beginners

Welcome to today’s blog which is Episode 29 of my Simple Stamping Series which is a handmade birthday card using the simple stamping method and technique. In this tutorial I decided to use the Celebrate with Cake stampset as it is a fun, easy and versatile set to use.

This set is not only featured in our Annual Catalogue but our Beginners Brochure too – why not Contact me to get a free copy.

I decided to go with an easy white card with only two colours of ink – keeping it simple and easy. I chose real red and memento tuxedo black

All products used are listed below for your perusal.

Instructions and Measurements:

Card Base:
Cut a piece of A4 cardstock down the longest side to 4 1/8″ and fold in half or score at 5 7/8″

Card Layer:
Whilst I have added a layered section you do not need to as you can stamp directly on to your card base. My layer measures 4″ by 5 3/4″.

Sentiment Area:
I decided on the “Sending you…” sentiment as it matches lovely with the real red coloured hearts coming out of the black mail box… adorable.

Embellishments and Decoration:
You may add these as you wish but for me today, I am keeping it simple.
