Today I’m absolutely thrilled to share this stunning 50th Wildflower Birthday Card that I created for a very special friend celebrating this milestone next month! 🎉💖
Falling in Love with These Colours! 🎨
I’m completely smitten with the gorgeous colour palette in this suite – Pretty in Pink, Blueberry Bushell, Peach Pie, and Pool Party create such a dreamy combination! 🌈 And can we talk about that beautiful gold theme running throughout the DSP pack? Pure perfection! ✨
Step-by-Step Tutorial 📝
Card Base 📋
Cut A4 Basic White cardstock to 5-7/8″ along the long side, then fold in half for your card base.
Card Front 🌸
- Add a Pretty in Pink mat layer measuring 5-1/2″ square
- Layer with gorgeous printed paper from the suite cut to 5-1/4″
- Use the Spotlight on Nature Dies to cut the largest Basic White circle
- Mount with dimensionals and add a die-cut pop-out image to the right side
- Create visual interest with strips of gold cardstock and patterned paper
- Gold emboss your “Birthday” sentiment on Pool Party cardstock, fussy cut, and layer over the strips
- Die-cut “HAPPY” in Blueberry Bushell using Mini Alphabet Dies
- Finish with beautiful embellishments! ✨
Inner Card Magic 📖
Cut DSP to 5-1/2″ x 11-1/4″, fold in half, and attach to create that lovely book effect (remember to only glue the inner back piece!).
Page 1: Die-cut the large banner from DSP, add numbers 5 and 0, layer on Basic White for extra pop, and include a die-cut element.
Page 2: Keep this beautifully blank for your heartfelt message! 💌
Page 3: Create another spotlight circle with your chosen sentiment (I printed a personal message on Basic White and die-cut it!) and add a pop-out element to the bottom right.
