The Perfect Mini Pop-Up Box: A Delightful Surprise in Every Detail! 🎁✨

Today I’m absolutely thrilled to share this adorable mini pop-up box that I created a while back, but I want to share the measurements with you again today because it’s just too good not to revisit! 🎉💖 There’s something so magical about opening a little box and discovering delightful surprises popping up to greet you – it never fails to bring a smile! 😊

Endless Possibilities in One Tiny Package 📦🌟

Using either the die cut pop outs or fussy cut images, there are plenty of gorgeous options to choose from to feature inside your little treasure box. The beauty of this project lies in its versatility – you can customise it for any occasion, theme, or recipient! 🎨 Don’t forget we’ll need a little section for the top too, because every detail matters when creating something this special! 💕

The best part? You’ll need minimal supplies and you can easily increase the size of the box to suit your specific needs. Whether you want a petite surprise or something a bit more substantial, this design adapts beautifully! 📏✂️

Step by Step Instructions 📋👇

Box Base and Mats 🏗️💫

Start with your cardstock measuring 6″ x 6″ and score at 2″ on all four sides. This creates your perfect foundation! ✏️ Cut away the four corner boxes to form your base structure.

Next, you’ll need five DSP (Designer Series Paper) mats measuring 1-7/8″ squared. ⚠️ Watch out if you’re using directional paper – orientation matters! One of these beautiful mats is destined for the top of your lid.

For that gorgeous finished look inside, use the opposite side of your DSP to cut a further five mats of the same size. This creates a cohesive, polished appearance that shows attention to every detail! 🎭✨

Pop Up Elements – The Magic Makers! 🪄🎪

Here’s where the real excitement begins! Cut three pieces of window sheet (acetate) down to ½” x 1″. Score one piece at ¾” and the remaining two at ½”. Burnish these scores really well – this is crucial for crisp, clean fold lines! 💪

Attach tear and tape to the smallest section of each piece. Now for the fun part – wet emboss your “happy” and “birthday” words in white onto black cardstock for that stunning contrast! 🖤🤍

Choose three small pop out die elements that speak to your heart and attach each one to a piece of acetate. Remove the tape backing and attach these little works of art to the inside of your box. Finally, adhere your embossed words across two of the three pop up sections! 🎂🎈

Box Lid – The Grand Finale! 👑🎩

Cut a piece of cardstock down to 3-1/8″ squared and score at ½” on all four sides. Cut up each glue flap, add your adhesive, and assemble to form the perfect lid. Attach your coordinating DSP piece to the top for that polished finish! 📐

For an extra special touch, cut another piece of window sheet to ¾” by ½”, score at ¼”, and add tear and tape. Attach this to the top of your box and crown it with another adorable die cut pop out image! 👸

Finishing Touches – Because Details Matter! 💎🌸

Add your favourite embellishments to finish off this little masterpiece. Ribbons, pearls, dimensional flowers – whatever makes your crafty heart sing! 🎀

A Sweet Alternative! 🍫💡

Here’s a delicious twist – switch out the pop-up elements for Ferrero Rocher chocolate treats! Just as effective and absolutely irresistible. Who doesn’t love a surprise that’s both beautiful AND edible? 😋🍬
