An Inspiring Day with Stampin’ Up! – Why This Community Changes Everything
What an absolutely incredible day I had in Midlothian! I’ve just returned from our Demonstrator Development Manager event, and my heart is so full that I simply had to share this experience with you all.
When Head Office Meets Heart-to-Heart Connection
Today wasn’t just any ordinary crafting event. Our wonderful DDM Helen Slimm had organised something truly special – we were joined by Brian Piling all the way from Stampin’ Up! head office in Utah! Seeing Brian again brought back such wonderful memories of our last meeting in New Orleans at the leader’s event three years ago. There’s something magical about how this company creates connections that span continents and last for years.
Creativity, Learning, and Those Happy Distractions
We dove straight into craft time with projects shared by fellow demonstrators (though I must confess, I was far too busy catching up with everyone to finish my projects properly – they’ll be tonight’s homework!). Sometimes the best part of these gatherings isn’t what we create with our hands, but the inspiration we absorb simply by being together.
Brian’s session was exactly what my creative soul needed. He reminded us all why we fell in love with crafting in the first place and illuminated the incredible opportunities that come with being part of the Stampin’ Up! family. It’s moments like these that reinforce why this isn’t just a hobby or even just a business – it’s a calling.
Learning Never Stops (And Neither Does the Fun!)
After lunch, we tackled scrapbooking training that focused on our Scrapbooking Workshop Kits. I’ll be honest – I’ve had a few of these beauties sitting in my stash, and I kept making excuses about not knowing how to use them properly. Well, no more excuses! Getting hands-on guidance has given me the confidence to dive in and explore all that creativity waiting to be unleashed.
The Heart of It All: Community
But here’s what I treasure most about these events – the cuddles from friends. Every single person I hugged today is someone I would never have known without Stampin’ Up! This company doesn’t just sell crafting supplies; it builds families. When two different colleagues commented on the weight I’ve lost since they last saw me, it was such a lovely reminder of how this community genuinely cares about each other as whole people, not just business associates. (Do you recognise anyone??)
