Project Tutorial

Hello and welcome to episode 12 of #TipsandTricks Tuesday!

After cutting images from one piece of 12×12 Bird Ballad DSP I was left with the outside part remaining which consisted mainly of part-images.  As this DSP is too beautiful to wast I decided to do a floating style card!

Directions and Measurements:

The card base measures 6×6″ square and I decided on Pool party as this is one of the co-ordinating colours to match this DSP.

The stamping (top layer) is whisper white and measures 5 7/8″ squared.

How I made the card is firstly I laid out all of my half cut images (all of which have at least one straight edge) to gauge the size of the card needed.

I then played around with their placement on the white layer to see if it was a nice set up.

At this point I also gauged where I would have some blank space to stamp.

I stamped three different but co-ordinating sentiments (from the co-ordinating stamp set free as a bird) in these spaces then adhered the DSP images using both dimensionals and mini-dimensionals.

Ta da! Easy Peasy! Just look how stunning and elegant this card is – be sure to watch my tutorial further down this page 🙂
