Free online step by step tutorial on how to make a handmade gift bag for Christmas or Birthdays
This is a project made by Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Tricia Smith, based in Fife, Scotland, UK
Hello and welcome to an extra #MakeitMonday tutorial – today we are making an awesome super traditional looking Christmas Bag. I love the black with the plaid DSP.
Instructions and Measurements:
- Cut two pieces of basic black cardstock down to 10″ x 8″.
- Score at 2″ on three sides – the remaining top side is the top of your bag so score at 1 1/2″
- Fold and burnish – remember and fold your bag flap over the opposite way.
- Cut and adhere as instructed in the video.
- I decided to only add DSP to the front of the bag – the DSP should measure 3 7/8″ x 5 7/8″ for the main front and 3 7/8″ x 1 3/8″ for the flap at the top.
- Punch out a starburst shape in black and 2″ shape in shaded spruce or other green card.
- Stamp a sentiment in Cherry Cobler ink.
- Add some snowflake stamps in whisper white ink.
- Punch out some black and shaded spruce sprig shapes
- Finish off sprigs with some wink of stella 🙂
