Feels like Frost Photo Frame Art

Learn how to make this elegant gift for someone you love

Hi and welcome to today’s bonus tutorial which is using the Feels like Frost speciality designer series paper and a shop bought photo frame. I enjoyed making this photo frame art as the products do all the hard work for you when putting them together.

I incorporated some wet embossing into this project using the White Stampin’ Emboss Powder to give a lovely discreet embossed layer.

Because this is a black photo frame I used our basic black to layer up the DSP sections. Laying up your DSP like this can really make your project pop.

I did cut out my squares using only my trimmer, however, because our basic black card stock has so many fibres in it it did fray the tiniest bit, and I’d recommend using our stitched shape dies which I will link below.

I hope you like today’s project.

Instructions and Measurements:

Photo frame layer
Base layer is 8″ x 6″ with the frame insert removed. I didn’t use my insert as it was an off white colour and clashed too much with my crisp whisper white base colour.

Square Elements Matt and DSP Layers
I cut out six square pieces of basic black measuring 2″ squared – I recommend you use the stitched square dies for this for a cleaner edging.
I then cut out six square pieces of my chosen DSP measuring 1 7/8″ squared which I adhered to the basic black layers.

Embossing
Before adhering it to my background I embossed a sentiment in the top right square, and some snowflake images in the centre, and bottom right squares.

Because I used white stampin’ emboss powder it gave me the subtle look that I was after and the embossed sections look really pretty.

Decoration
To finish off I added some snowflake sequins.
