DSP #22 Fun and Fabulous Handmade Birthday Card

Welcome to today’s DSP episode 22 A Fun and Fabulous Handmade Birthday Card

Hello everyone and welcome to another blog post. Today is the 22nd DSP Episode to make this Fun and Fabulous Handmade Birthday Card. Today’s project uses two pieces of the DSP from the Sampler Pack that you can get for FREE when you join as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator (contact me if this interests you).

Today’s card is a 5×5″ card.

The other main supplies used in this card are the Stitched Shapes Dies and the 1″ Circle Punch. Both are necessities for any crafters stash of goodies 🙂

This card has no stamping or sentiments on the outside at all! All that it consists of is die cut shapes, punched shapes and fussy cut images.

Mango Melody was my obvious choice for the card base today as it co-ordinates with the Designer Series Paper that I used.

The finishing touches that I added today was a simple card insert in whisper white – no sentiments as the beautiful bonanza birthdays dsp does all the talking for this card.

All products used are listed below for your perusal.

Instructions:

Start off by cutting a piece of mango melody card stock down to 10″ x 5″ and scored it at 5″ (or fold in half)

For the DSP layer make sure this measures 4 7/8″ x 4 7/8″ squared and adhere to card base.

Using the second largest square stitched shape die cut four squares in whisper white.

We can now layer up the four squares with the same DSP (but reversed for more contrast). These should measure 3 3/4″ squared – adhere these to the the larger white sections. Stick down on your card with wet glue to allow some movement should you place these down squint.

Punch out x 4 1″ circle shapes and adhere to the middle of your square sections.

Using your left over piece of DSP fussy cut out x4 suitable images and layer these on top of the four circles using mini dimensionals.

The last step I layered the inside with a piece of whisper white measuring 4 7/8″ squared. Leave blank as I have done or stamp a sentiment of your choice.
