Gather Together for Thanksgiving

Gather Together for Thanksgiving

Hi and welcome to my blog. Today’s card is kind of #ThrowBackThursday, but on a Friday lol!

Today I am revisiting the wonderful Gather Together Bundle that carried over from last year’s Autumn Winter Catalogue – great right?

Today we are talking about the Very Vanilla coloured card.

Isn’t it just gorgeous. Autumn as it’s my favourite time of year, that in between Summer and Winter stage. I just love the colours, the smell in the air, the trees shedding their leaves. I love it all round.

The gorgeous Burlap Ribbon Retired but there are many other replacements we could use.

Instructions

Hello and welcome to this seasonal project tutorial – not quite Christmas, but another thanksgiving and autumnal instead.

I have made this card using my new pre-order stamp set which is called Gather Together, now this is a ten-piece photopolymer set which means stamping precisely and accurately is easy.  I bought this in a bundle alongside the Gathered Leaves Dies.  These are the new style dies which cut closer to your stamped image – I love them already, a nice even clean 1mm (appx) border around my images.  I’ll definitely be investing in this new style die.

Instructions and measurements:

Now the card base measures 4 by 6 inches.
Matt Layer is 3 7/8 by 5 7/8 inches and the stamping layer is 3 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches

I used Soft Suede for the card base, Mossy Meadow for the  Matt and Very Vanilla for the top layer.  Inks used were co-ordinating colours as with the card stock but with an extra colour of old olive for the die cut leaves. I also used the pretty label punch for the sentiment area and adhered some burlap ribbon under it.

Stamp and Die cut images in colours of choice as per YouTube tutorial below. In this die set there are three dies that are dual action – and what I mean is that the cut and emboss the card stock – such a clean pretty effect too!

Position your die cut images on your card to you taste then add some sentiments to break up the empty space and finish off with some wink of stella on your embossed leaves – very pretty!
