Hello everyone,
Welcome to the Blog Post for Week 3 of our Weekly Sketch Challenge for period 15th to 21st June complete. Aren’t these just lovely – full card images and author details are further down this page.
So this was the sketch that I picked from Pinterest and it incorporates a few layers, sentiment sections as well as floral embellishments.
Entry 1 –
Our first entry for the week’s challenge was from my #teamscrimpy friend Donna Lester of Taffy Crafting. What a stunning card Donna – I love your colour choices and the added vellum! Beautiful.
Entry 2 –
Our second entry was from the lovely Karen Jane Tiley and I think this is definitely one of Karen’s favourite stampsets – look how versatile it is – see her previous entries in the prior weeks’ challenges 🙂 Gorgeous hun! Loving your shading! I love how you have stamped your own background and also gave some of the images added dimension 🙂
Entry 3:
This fabby card was created by …..me! Abstract impressions is a favourite of mine – as is the colours basic gray and blackberry bliss – just…well bliss really 🙂
Entry 4:
This card is just awesome and it is by the lovely Brenda Harrison. You like blackberry bliss too then? Lush! I love how you are able to use multiple stampsets in your creations – such a talented crafter my lovely! (Wish I had purchased that DSP set!)
Entry 5
Now, again, Louise is showing her creative flair in her creation here. Stamping your own background layer is so much fun. Can you see the similarities between Louise and I’s cards? We are so alike creatively ! Like two peas! Thanks Louise! So glad to have such a talented driven lady in my #teamsmithy team.
Entry 6
This card, by the skin of her teeth (lol Victoria) is by the lovely Victoria Littlewood my #teamscrimpy buddy! This is just absolutely adorable hun! I love the sentiment x
Entry 7
Wow now this card I really do love and it was created by the lovely Helen Chandler of Helen’s Heart Creations. What a super elegant card, I just love what you have done here Helen thank you so much for taking part! x

I will be hosting (most weeks) a weekly card sketch challenge for all of the group members to participate in.
The aim of the weekly challenges is to:
- Inspire each other
- Challenge ourselves
- Make new friends and….
- Have fun
Crafting is not just about making cards, or scrapbooking, there is so much more to it, I know there is from my point of view and that is…… new friendships. I have a great group of ladies whom attend my weekly card classes in my local village, I have made a whole load of new friends both online and in person from my involvement with Stampin’ Up! Friendships that unfortunately, can lack in our real lives whether this be due to health issues, anxiety, lack of time, etc. Crafting for me helps me deal with the challenges I face due to ill health.
So why not pop over and join us? And reap the benefits as explained 🙂 Go on, you know you want to.
While you are here you should pop over and check out my website (click on image below or copy and paste www.smithscraftycreations.com into your searchbar). You will find many tutorials and you tube videos all crafty related of course!
