Sunday Special #6 Meerkat Handmade Card

Welcome to the 6th Sunday Special episode today for this adorable Meerkat Handmade Card

I decided to dig out the good old Designer Series Paper packs, the one I chose is our 2019-21 in-colours and I am working with Pretty Peacock today. I decided to make a handmade meerkat card well, just because this set is so adorable – I hope you like it.

I also incorporate die cutting the card front to achieve a window look.

This stamp set is red rubber cling and it is so adorable. I really enjoy using these stamps, there are 9 total in this set.

Instructions and Measurements for this card :

Step 1 – prepare all of your pieces

Card base is whisper white and measures 4 1/8″ x 5 7/8″
DSP layer is pretty peacock DSP measuring 3 7/8″ x 5 5/8″
Top Label is using everyday label punch, punch whisper white and layer on to scrap piece of same DSP
Bottom label is cut by eye, size depends on the sentiment you use.

Step 1 – Die cut the largest oval from the die set in the centre of your DSP Piece
Step 2 – place on top of card and mark gently, with pencil, where you will need to stamp your image
Step 3 – Stamp in black or other colour
Step 4 – Colour / shade your image
Step 5 – Attach DSP to card base using Foam Strips
Step 6 – Stamp and cut / punch out your sentiments
Step 7 – Add in for extra texture around your sentiment pieces if you wish
Step 8 – Adhere sentiments to card front
Step 9 – Add embellishments / accents of your choice
Step 10 – Stamp inside the card too if you wish (I have yet to do this)
