Thoughtful Blooms Handmade Card

Welcome to today’s blog learning how to create this Thoughtful Blooms Handmade Card

Hi and welcome to another blog post. Today is the 31st and final day of the #31DaysCraftChallenge. After very little thought I decided to make a Thoughtful Blooms Handmade Card using the Stamp Your Own Background technique.

The colours I chose were daffodil delight and old olive for the main card.

I incorporated the use of both my Pretty Label Punch and my 2 1/4″ Circle Punch. For me, using our punches definitely speeds up the card making process.

When I am struggling creatively to make cards using lots of consumables from whichever suite I want to work with, I turn to stamping my own background.

It helps to use and reference some of our designer series paper, as it can give you inspiration in terms of pattern, colours and layout. I chose one of the floral designs from our Best Dressed Suite. The colours are lovely lipstick, old olive, daffodil delight and petal pink.

Instructions

Card Front
I started off with a Daffodil Delight card base measuring 4 1/8″ x 5 7/8″
I then cut a piece of Old Olive down to 3 7/8″ x 5 5/8″
For my stamping layer I cut a piece of Whisper white down to 3 5/8″ x 5 1/2″
Using all of my chosen ink pads I randomly stamped most of the stamp images within the stamp set used.
Once happy with my stamped background I began to work on the sentiment area.
I stamped my sentiment section with one of the beautiful sentiments in the set and added some floral stamps to each side.
I layered up white punched out pretty label shape onto old olive then punched out a circle and added the three to the card.

This card turned out very pretty and reminds me of Spring time.
