Sunday Special Handmade Card #9

Welcome to today’s Sunday Special Handmade Card Project #9

Hi and welcome to another blog post. Today is the 9th Sunday Special Handmade Card Making Project. Today I decided to use the Happy Birthday to You Stamp set with our Gold Glitter card stock and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

Although not the fanciest of cards that I have made, it is still gorgeous and so simple to re-create.

By embossing this cake image, I could have added some colour with either my Stampin’ Write Markers or my Stampin’ Blend Pens. You can do this if you wish as it would add more character to the card.

For the card inside I embossed in gold a Happy Birthday sentiment along with some of the sprinkles stamp image too.

Look how beautiful and elegant our gold emboss powder makes our images. I love wet embossing but this card would look just as good stamped in one of our other inks.

The card that I used for my card base is our Shimmer White card stock. I had never stamped or embossed on it till today, and it works magic just like our other card stock.

Product List

You can find all products in my online shop here:
www.smithscraftycreations.stampinup.net

Instructions

My card base measures 4 1/8″ x 5 7/8″
Gold Glimmer Cardstock Measures 3 7/8″ x 5 3/4″ (I cut out a 3/4″ frame using my trimmer)

To emboss, I started by using my versa-mark embossing ink to stamp the images onto my card base.

Adding my stampin’ emboss powder and heat setting it was the next step.

Finally, I finished off by stamping, embossing and heat setting a sentiment on the inside of the card too.

You can decide on the right size of stamping layers that suit your taste.
