Welcome to today’s Make it Monday #49 Gold Embossed Card
Hi and welcome to another blog post. Today is the 49th Make it Monday Episode and today we are making a gold embossed card. Supplies are mainly from the Honey Bee Stamp set and co-ordinating Golden Honey Specialty DSP.
By using the honey bee specialty designer series paper I did not need to do much work to make this card look stunning.
By embossing the sentiment layer with our Gold Emboss Powder, it made for a perfect match with the gold and black DSP.
For the bee elements on the front of the card I stamped with stazon black ink directly onto some of our Gold Foil Sheets. The effect is truly stunning and by using stazon the ink did not smudge when fussy cutting the image out.
The card that I used for my card base is our basic black which was an obvious choice given the design of the designer series paper I chose today.

Instructions
My card base measures 4 1/8″ x 5 7/8″
My DSP measures 3 7/8″ x 5 3/4″
You can choose what size your sentiment layers can me, mines measures approximately 2″ x 3″ and reduces in increments as we add layers.
To emboss, I started by using my versa-mark embossing ink to stamp the image and sentiment onto my sentiment layer.
Adding my stampin’ emboss powder and heat setting it was the next step.
I added some retired gold cord around my sentiment layer as it matches beautifully.
I fussy cut my stamped bee images and added the largest to the front of my card.
Finally, I added whisper white for my card inside and added the remaining fussy cut bee element to the inside.
