Welcome to today’s Simple Stamping #54 – How to do paper piecing

Hello and thank you so much for joining me for yet another Simple Stamping Project Blog – #54. Today’s tutorial is about how to do paper piecing in your card making projects. A really simple one today and an easy way to step up that simple stamping.

I used my latest Under my Umbrella Bundle which is the stamp set and co-ordinating punch.

Blueberry Bushel was my chosen colour today and I used up some scrap pieces of the Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper too. Blueberry Bushel is retiring at the end our our current catalogue. The time scale is 3rd June. If you don’t have this wonderful blue ink pad, now’s the time to stock up.

Instructions and Measurements:My card base is Blueberry Bushel and measures 4 1/8″ x 5 7/8″
My Matt Layer is Mossy meadow and measures 4″ x 5 3/4″
Card insert layer is whisper white and measures 4″ x 5 3/4″
My stamping layer is whisper white and measures 3 7/8″ x 5 5/8″

Using my stamp set I stamped the umbrella and the welly boot images directly on to my DSP and fussy cut them out. For added effect I stamped some of the floral images on to whisper white. Using my blends I coloured them in and fussy cut them out too.

My other chosen sentiment and some rain drop images were stamped on the inside of my card.

Almost done, I stuck all of my layers together. I had to play around with the placement of my images before stamping “Hello Sunshine” on my top layer.

For the bling, I added some Noble Peacock Rhinestone Jewels to finish off my card today.
