Christmas Cards using only Designer Series Paper

Today’s project is two beautiful Christmas Scene Cards using only Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up! The DSP used is called Trimming the Town and it is just wonderful.

The co-ordinating Home Together Dies from this suite are awesome. I was able to die cut the images direct from the DSP I used. I used the large and small tree dies, and the three house dies.

My Card bases are Misty Moonlight and the matt layers are Whisper White. I like to matt my cards as I feel it makes them pop more.

The first card I made (below) I used the wavy die to die cut out the forest style print, and the night scene print DSP. I also used whisper white on the bottom.

By using the dies to die cut the images direct, there was no need whatsoever for stamping. No inks, no blocks, not messy fingers.

The sentiments were fussy cut from one of the 12 x 12 sheets too. There are many sentiments in many languages which is just wonderful. For the wreath, I used the die to cut from another piece of the DSP in this pack.

My second card (below) I again used the wavy die to alternate between the tree DSP and whisper white card. Using the house dies to cut more house images, I layered these in between my DSP layers. I popped the tree, the wreath and the sentiment up on mini dimensions.

Again I fussy cut out some sentiments. I was left with some smaller sentiments so I adhered them to the roof section of two of my houses. The Poppy Parade Red makes the card pop ever so more.

Instructions

1 – Card Base – Misty Moonlight measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-7/8″
2 – Card Matt – Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5-3/4″
3 – Die cut DSP layers vary in height but width is 5-5/8″
4 – Adhere and layer all of your sections to your taste.
