Heartfelt Happiness Autumnal Birthday Card
Today’s project is a Heartfelt Happiness Autumnal Birthday Card. I have used various die sets including the Birds and Branches Bundle by Stampin’ Up! UK.
This card was more of a therapeutic crafting session for me. I took my time and filmed without the need of speaking. I then converted the video into a time lapse over on YouTube which you can see at the bottom of this page.
Various techniques were used in today’s card. Stamping, die-cutting, dry embossing and ink blending.
Look how pretty that little bird is. A very much Autumnal themed birthday card.
Look how beautiful those flowers and leaves are. Really pretty. Can you see the textured embossed section. Subtle but lovely at the same time.
Here is a close up of the other side of the card. Colours used are Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider, Soft Sea Foam and Bumblebee.
Instructions
1 – Card Bases measure 4-1/8″ x 5-7/8″
2 – Card Matt Layers measure 4″ x 5-3/4″ – Matt layer is crumb cake embossed with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder. The top layer is whisper white and has had a section die cut out using the largest Stitched Nested Label Die.
3 – Stamp on whisper white and die cut out x1 Bird, x2 Small Flowers, x1 Heart in your chosen colours.
Stamping:
4 – Die cut out x1 of the foliage piece in Soft Sea Foam and x2 of the leaves from the Gather Together Dies using the Colour Velveteen Paper.
Ink Blending:
5 – Add some ink blending to your die cut foliage piece.
Build your card:
6 – Adhere all layers together, building them up with double dimensions or Adhesive Foam Strips.
7 – Stamp a sentiment on to a piece of white measuring 3/4″ x 4″ and punch one end using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
8 – Add sequins or embellishments to complete.
9 – For the inside I used the nested label inside piece and stamped more sentiments.
