Handmade Pamper Box Gift
My blog today is about a Handmade Pamper Box Gift. I hope this idea brightens your day and gives you some ideas for gift giving on a budget. Shop Link Here I like to make little project as this for thank you gifts and random acts of kindness. You can keep these pouches simple or go all elaborate too!
You can find the video tutorial link at the end of this post.
Measurements
Finished Dimensions of Pouch 7.3/4″ x 4.1/2″ x 2″
- Step 1 Measurements
1. A) Box Bottom: UK Size A4 Sheet of Cardstock
2. B) Box Lid: UK Size A4 Sheet of Cardstock
3. C) Matt Layer 1 for inside the bottom of box and on lid of box measuring 7.1/2” x 7.1/4”
4. D) Matt Layer 2 patterned paper or stamping layer for inside & top of box too measuring 7.1/4” x 7”
5. E) Belly Band: Cut a 2.1/2” long piece from an A4 sheet of cardstock down longest side
6. F) Belly Band Layer: Cut a 2.1/4” long piece of patterned paper or DSP to same length as E) above
7. G) Matt Layer 1 to connect both ends of belly band
8. H) Matt Layer 2 to add to G) above
Scoring (if using DSP don’t score too hard!)
- Step 2
Score the box bottom at 2” on all four sides of both pieces of cardstock. Score the box lid at a fraction under 2” on one of the two short sides and one of the two long sides (this allows the lid to fit nicely over the top)
Cutting
- Step 3
Cut up and wedge one score line on each side of the box bottom and box lid—see image below. Punch out two little thumb notches (half circles) on two opposite sides of the box lid (the longest sides)
Layering
- Step 4
Layer all of your pieces together. For the Belly Band, wrap around your box and fold into place by hand. Connect both edges with a layered circle or square topper (G) & (H), measuring where to glue by naked eye. Make sure you don’t wrap too tight! We want to be able to effortlessly manoeuvre the belly band.
Stamping & Decoration
- Step 5
Stamp and fussy cut your chosen sentiment and attach to lid topper. Decorate more as you wish.
Closure and Contents
- Step 6
Add your gifts to your box, pack nicely in some tissue paper. Add belly band to secure closure of box.
