Five Minute Crafts – easy handmade card ideas

Today’s project is a Five Minute Crafts Project – easy handmade card ideas using the heart punches from Stampin’ Up! The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set.

I couldn’t resist using some of the upcoming Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper on today’s project. I think the layering hearts from the duo of heart punches are amazing.

My Card bases are Misty Moonlight and the matt layer is Balmy Blue with a Whisper White top layer. I like to matt my cards as I feel it makes them pop more.

The two main colours used are Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue. The added new Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper makes the cards look even more amazing.

For my sentiment I stamped a simple Hello Beautiful onto whisper white, punched it out and layered onto the balmy blue glimmer paper scalloped heart. I punched out a little heart using my Dog Builder Punch.

Instructions

1 – Card Base – Balmy Blue measuring 4″ x 4″
2 – Card Matt – Misty Moonlight measuring 3-7/8″ x 3-7/8″
3 – Stamping Layer – Whisper White measuring 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″
4 – Stamp your sentiment and punch out with smooth edged heart punch
5 – Layer up onto scalloped heart punched glimmer piece
6 – Adhere to card
7 – Using dog builder punch, punch out a little heart from your glimmer paper scrap piece.
